In 2018 this grade 2 listed 19th century monument collapsed during a storm. McMillan & Holder were commissioned to source new sandstone, mason the components and rebuild the monuments. Blocks weighing up to a tonne were carefully secured one above the other to bring new life and dignity to the old and enduring legacy.
